All About Me

Here's some fun facts about me:

- I was born and raised in Northern Virginia. Except for 2 1/2 years in Lynchburg, VA, I have lived here my entire life. In NoVA, though, I have moved 6 times, 3 of those times in 1 1/2 years.

- I have 2 wonderful parents and 3 amazing brothers. My brothers are all younger, but that doesn't keep us from competing against one another in almost every sport growing up. In October 2009, they moved out of state, which has been hard on me, but I know that I can come visit whenever I want :)

- In May 2010, I married the love of my life, Sean. We are excited to embark on this road called marriage. To date, we are living in a cozy little apartment just 20 minutes from my first (and second) childhood home(s), which is awesome because I can show my husband all the places from my childhood and enjoy more memories of them with him!

- When I was younger, I loved playing soccer, softball, and tennis, as well as pick-up games of various kinds. Currently, I am not playing any sports, but hope to take up tennis again when spring arrives. I'm not afraid of trying out something new, but I will warn you that I'm highly competitive.

- I like games of all kinds. When it comes to video games, I'd rather watch and root on than play, but after a while I'll try it out. My husband and I own an XBOX 360. I enjoy watching (and occasionally playing) Oblivion and Fallout (3 and New Vegas). I hope to interest my husband into the competition games, but he doesn't appreciate my competitiveness.... He introduced me to Minecraft in December 2010 and I've enjoyed it so far, minus the spiders.

- One of my biggest hobbies is crocheting. I like to follow patterns, tweak patterns, and make up patterns. Someone suggested I sell my crocheted items, which is something I've debated doing for a while. Maybe once I can get a better beat on my free time, I can take the time to make things to sell.

- I work as a PreK teacher in a daycare. Not quite what I was hoping to do after college, but my coworkers are some of the best people you'll ever meet, and I wouldn't trade that for the world. Eventually I hope to be in the public school system.
