Friday is here!

I'm absolutely stoked that Friday is here. This week has been obnoxiously empty, and the only way I seem to fill it is by going out and purchasing things...like food, paint stuff, and costume prepping for 2 little bat costumes (I'll explain in a minute). I've also been to the library and although I returned several books, I checked more out. Gaaa! I paid my fees this week though - $1.40 - all in change:P Half of it was in pennies....I gave the bag to the librarian and she didn't even count it:P I felt accomplished haha.

Wed night I got to babysit for the Bible Study again. It's a 25 minute commute, thankfully with not too much traffic, but it's well worth it. 2 of the little guys are trying to walk and therefore used me as something to grab ahold of and drag around. They both figured out where the stairs were to go back to their parents, but thankfully I had the older kids (meaning 1 1/2, 1 3/4, and 4) asking me where they went before they made it to the stairs :P I wish I could do some kind of craft with them, but honestly trying to hold a 10 month old while changing the diaper of the 1 1/2 year old and keeping the other crawler from cruising up the steps was insane. I felt bad when some of the kids kept going upstairs to their parents, but they came back down just as quickly.

Flashback to college years: I used to go to a community college in my hometown, NoVA (Where the N stands for knowledge, the O stands for honor, etc...). I was able to attend my parents' church Bible Study for college kids along with several other friends. One of the leaders was a single guy named Rick. HE was at the Bible study for couples that I babysit for....with his wife! WOW! I'm not saying WOW, he actually got married - please don't take it that way! I'm saying WOW, life has changed in all aspects of my life and it was a very big shock to my system! Annnnyway....

For the Bible Study/Worship Hour that I'm helping with at Truro, I just got a new "job" :D I'm going to be an Events/Social Coordinator! I'm super psyched about this!! Can't wait to plan some movie nights, game nights, ice cream socials, etc. If you can think of a fun idea that youth groups/young adults/young couples could do together for a few hours, let me know! I'm always open to ideas!

I bought stuff at Walmart this morning that hopefully the kids will love! They both wanted bat costumes after watching The Magic School Bus Goes Batty and the kids in the movie turn to bats:P So, I bought a few things that hopefully will help: Felt, visors, cord, 3 yds of fabric, and pipe cleaners. All black of course. The felt and visors I hope to make into the ears of the bats, and we'll somehow use the other things to make "structured" bat wings for the kids to fly around (outside) with :)

I also bought some paint stuff - I have MISSED painting - for the kids to create little plaques and then hot glue a bug or a flower on. I really think it's gonna be an awesome time!

Alright, time to enjoy my Friday:) I'm gonna watch a movie, read a book, find some recipes, and get ready for babysitting tonight!
