Soooo I came on here to drop a note saying that it's expected to SNOW late tonight into tomorrow for a little while. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! *Ahem*
However, upon logging in, I realized I haven't updated in nearly a month! Holy cow! So let's begin, shall we?
- My family came down for Thanksgiving week. I only had Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday off, but it was still totally worth it! I got to hang out with my 3 brothers - didn't create as much chaos as we could have, but we all had different plans for the weekend. My family went back to Vermont on Saturday and have been sorely missed by many since then!
- Sean started night shift. Crap. Double crap. Yep pretty much sums up my hatred of this shift. I know it's unavoidable and it's good pay, but it still sucks when he sleeps all day. And his workdays are Thurs-Fri, Fri-Sat, Sat-Sun, and Sun-Mon. SO no road trips or weekend day trips anywhere :( Boohoo. On the flip side, I think I've had more coffee this week just because I bring him some now and then :P We're trying to make the best of it, but it's hard when he's up and at'em around....4pm? :P
- My coteacher is "moving." This pretty much double stinks. She's an awesome person that I've really gotten to know at work, so it's hard to say "Ok, we've gotten to be awesome partners and friends over the last 2 1/2 months, now it's time to test it." Seriously?! My new partner in crime is from the other PreK room, so it should work out alright, if only we can get their behavior down a notch. Oy....
- The kids have been sooo ridiculously excited this week! I think it's partly because 1) Thanksgiving break of 4 days without classroom rules, 2) Christmas is coming, and 3) Parents giving said holiday sweets early. Ga! I pray daily before I leave for work and before I enter the building for peace, sanity, and calmness of anyone in our room:)
- I'm getting stuck on some Christmas gifts. I've started gifts for 3 or 4 people - yes started - but I'm searching for a few items that'll be a good touch for the others. Like I needed more stress. Seriously. I even got my coteacher's gift 2 weeks ago, why couldn't I do that for my family's?
Alright, time to do a bit of knitting and hitting the hay. Maybe I'll wake up early so I can check for snowflakes :D Night all!
