So I didn't post last night...that's a bit of a long story :P In short, my husband decided to move a few things around in the apartment. He called me at work and let me know he was getting one of those screens that help separate rooms. I think, maybe, not sure what it looks like, but we can always return it!
I got home first last night and saw what it looked like. Okay, first, I was quiet because he was in the midst of everything when he had to leave for our Young Adults group, so not much was cleaned up...or clean haha. Secondly, the wall he had bought and assembled basically cut me off (when I'm on my computer) from the rest of the house. And on top of that, my internet was disabled for various reasons (none purposeful). I just kind of sat at my desk, a little stunned, taking it in, then went to bed so I wouldn't lash out or go nuts. Sean came in to check on me, and after some prodding I explained how I don't respond well to changes (especially my stuff when I'm not there) or mess...eventually we tried to figure out other ways to redo the room, but I only came out of my room once the rest of the night.
Hun had to stay up all night, so when I got up at 6:30, I came out to check on him. He rearranged basically everything outside the bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen to make me feel like I'm not blocked off while still trying to hide any visible "clutter" :) I'll have to take some pictures sometime that I'm not going to be late for work!
So, I didn't respond completely as positive as I could have last night, but Hun and I didn't actually fight over things and he made the place look beautiful! I can't wait to help him finish some things up tonight when I'm home! :)
Isn't it hard when hubbies do something they think is going to be a great idea and...you totally don't like it?? I think it sounds like you responded very well :)
