So I was thinking about one song I continually hear on the radio, "Everlasting God" and how that brings back so many memories from college. I miss the Wednesday night Campus Church at Liberty. Even though a lot of people didn't really enjoy the fact that it was 2 1/2 hours long(ish), it was a really amazing service to go to. There was worship, and not just singing the hymns. We sang David Crowder, Kathryn Scott, and a lot more. It was for YOUNG adults, people just growing out of their teens but still looking for that upbeat memorable lyric bouquet to carry with them through life. Wow, that was an odd phrase, but it worked!
Seriously, some of my favorite worship music is the upbeat Christian music that I remember from Campus church. It pained my heart to hear last year and the year before how much it's changing, how it's becoming more structured than more worshipful, and how fewer and fewer people are going. I remember when we had to be there 20-30 minutes early just to save a few seats for friends. Seriously, you walk in 5 minutes before it starts and you better pray there's a buddy there with an extra place for you to sit. Otherwise, like Sean and I learned early on, you'll be sitting on the ushers' chairs :P
Oh, some of the songs were: O Praise Him, Everlasting God, No One Like You, Here is Our King, Forever and Ever, Make a Joyful Noise.... One of the ones stuck in my head currently is "Hungry" :
Hungry I come to You
For I know You satisfy
I am empty but I know
Your love does not run dry
So I wait for You
So I wait for You
I'm falling on my knees
Offering all of me
Jesus You're all
This heart is living for
Broken I run to You
For Your arms are open wide
I am weary but I know Your touch
Restores my life
So I wait for You
So I wait for You
That's me, God. I'm weary, feeling broken, offering my whole self up to You to be used by You for Your will, not mine. Come into my life, Holy Spirit, and help me be the hands and feet of Jesus. I have not loved You, Father, with my whole heart. I have sinned against you and I want to repent and be forgiven for all that I have not done to further Your kingdom. God help me to continually seek you and seek to follow in Your footsteps. I know they're much bigger than my own, but I know that with You, all things are possible!
Amen :)

Music Video
Right now I'm nearly conscious and it's 8am. Mom called me on her way to drop off a brother that missed a bus because she needed something done, so I'm awake now. I decided to watch a bit of CMT (Country Music Videos...). A Rascal Flatts one came on that I haven't really heard before. Thankfully Rascal Flatts make their videos about the story they're trying to tell.
I will tell you now, this one made me cry. Badly, even. And it wasn't until the last 20-30 seconds of the video that everything clicked and I realized what happened in the movie. You go, Rascal Flatts!
