Crocheting out my ears...

So I've actually been doing well keeping up with my crocheting this year! Usually when the weather gets warmer, I dump the crocheting for a good book, but this year I've done both! More on my reading later =)

One of my friends that has recently left for Texas (curse of the DC Metro, no one really stays forever =/) commissioned me to make a beard beanie. That turned out to be a LOT of fun and was so awesome to see her face when it was done!

They're actually 2 separate pieces. For the beanie, I used the colors of the Redskins, burgundy and gold. I found a pattern I liked on Ravelry and just kind of tweaked it to fit the style I was going for. The beard is actually from a beard hat pattern - not sure where I found it, but that part only took about 10 minutes once my yarn was cooperating =)

My favorite project from the last week is shamrock coasters!! I started making
them and literally can make 2 in an hour if I'm slightly distracted =) Sent some to others just because my couch was getting overtaken by even
more green...

I've also been making several other projects. Debating making an Etsy - I actually signed up for an account today, but after finding the Fees Policy page, I'm rethinking how to go about this. Anyone have any good pointers? I'm not sure if I can keep up with large demands, but I have a TON of different projects that I can sell.

Ideas? Holiday Cards!!

This is the 2nd Christmas for Sean and I as a married couple:) Being from a family of 6 with 20 aunts/uncles and even more cousins (at least on my side...), greeting cards have overrun the entrance to our apartment this year. I have an envelope in our Christmas tub from last year's Christmas.

It makes me wonder, how can I save those Christmas cards in a way that's inexpensive yet beautiful to look at? I was debating an album, but the problem would be that I couldn't read the backs/insides of cards and pictures.

So my question is.....How do or would YOU organize Christmas cards and photos? :)
