Our family took the blessed 10 hour drive back to Virginia from Vermont. It took us a bit under 10 hours despite traffic and rain in 3 states - YAY!
I lost my voice on the way in:-P
We got home and discovered that one of my car's tires was flat. Dad pumped it back up, circled the nail in chalk, and drove to a dealer to have them patch it..... turns out there was 2 nails. Where the heck do I pick these things up?? Thankfully it's fixed and MUCH cheaper than an $81 new tire!
I left around 6:45 to come back to Lynchburg because frankly, I missed everyone. I loved time with my family, but it was a LOT of time when you've been gone to college and doing summer classes every year since you graduated high school:) I arrived at Seans a bit after 10, hung out with him (mostly listened to him since when I talk I squeak). Went back to my house around 12, where Chaia and I stayed up for nearly 2 hours catching up on life and laughing over bad pickup lines:)
So I'm back in the beautiful Forest, VA and hopefully going to finish up every bit of my DLP classes as soon as possible!
PS - I took up knitting again - YAY! I'd forgotten how bad I am at this, but at least I'm having fun. First a simple headband for Sammy making a \/\/\/\/ pattern on it using backward stitches (not sure how to explain that any better), then maybe a hat for practice? We shall see!
