Nightmares....

So for the last 2 days I've had ridiculously weird and scary nightmares. They seem funny when I wake up, but I still feel panic-stricken. I dreamt that one of the kids in the daycare cloned herself. I dreamt another child was wearing a diaper at age 4....I dunno, don't laugh please. Each situation, in the way it's presented to me in my dream, scares me and makes me feel horrible. I'm tempted to take home one of the sleep CDs we use with the kids (baby einstein or some other classical stuff) and see if that helps.

I've also been eating poorly, which my stomach announced this morning. I have to go re-fluidize (like my new word?) myself before work to make sure it's just an intestinal kind of thing and nothing serious that I could pass on to the kids.

I look outside my window as I write this and see that the wind is picking up moreso than yesterday. On top of the steady invisible rain we had yesterday. Darn it all! These kids needed outdoor time, but this looks like no hope of having sunshine. I'll count it all joy though and say that at least it's not any kind of tropical storm here in Fairfax County:)

Alright, off to shower, then the store. Here's hoping I kick whatever I got!

Back Home...

Our family took the blessed 10 hour drive back to Virginia from Vermont. It took us a bit under 10 hours despite traffic and rain in 3 states - YAY!

I lost my voice on the way in:-P

We got home and discovered that one of my car's tires was flat. Dad pumped it back up, circled the nail in chalk, and drove to a dealer to have them patch it..... turns out there was 2 nails. Where the heck do I pick these things up?? Thankfully it's fixed and MUCH cheaper than an $81 new tire!

I left around 6:45 to come back to Lynchburg because frankly, I missed everyone. I loved time with my family, but it was a LOT of time when you've been gone to college and doing summer classes every year since you graduated high school:) I arrived at Seans a bit after 10, hung out with him (mostly listened to him since when I talk I squeak). Went back to my house around 12, where Chaia and I stayed up for nearly 2 hours catching up on life and laughing over bad pickup lines:)

So I'm back in the beautiful Forest, VA and hopefully going to finish up every bit of my DLP classes as soon as possible!

PS - I took up knitting again - YAY! I'd forgotten how bad I am at this, but at least I'm having fun. First a simple headband for Sammy making a \/\/\/\/ pattern on it using backward stitches (not sure how to explain that any better), then maybe a hat for practice? We shall see!
