Leaving soon...

...but not soon enough!

I used Mom's words against her today to let her know of my pending package. Specifically the "You better have a darn job before you have a darn Xbox!" Worked out alright, I suppose. It arrived!! I'm excited but can't use it for probably at least a week!

Mom just came up a few minutes ago saying that a neighbor asked if I could drop off packages 3 times per day, to see which came in quicker or something like that for the company he works for. Mom totally told him that I would love to do that and we'd be down to his house ASAP (he lives 5 hours down or so) to talk about it.

I told her "heck no" in not so few but just as clean terms. It only occurs to her that this would mean I'd make an extra $xx per month for my summer. It doesn't register that I am working 9-3 starting on Monday. Working with kids. Planning lessons. I'm also babysitting 2 nights a week on top of that. And the best part? She is calling him back now saying that "Rebecca doesn't want it" in tones that sound like I'm being disrespectful in refusing it. Like I could totally do it, but I don't WANT to, like I'm snooty I guess.... This sucks.

As to my title: Leaving soon.....but oh, my Father God, not soon enough...
