Refreshing...the Disney Way

Yesterday was a tough day of work. On top of my morning, when I went to walk to Starbucks from work (a meager 6 or so stores down), the sky literally turned black, the wind started howling against the massive building, and thunder, lightening, and rain all poured down at once. It was incredible. I stood there talking to our Asst Director for the last 30 minutes of break, drinking down the coffee that they provide for parents in the morning.

After that, the day was just barely bearable. Lots of things that someone wanted to do one way, but I had to correct.....did I mention I hate correcting adults? Especially when it's something that we initially agreed on, but then they wanted to do things their way. Ooh, what gets me if they change it because they feel the child is incompetent....*shudders* That just ruffles my feathers at a whole new level of upsetedness....*Ahem* Anyway, yeah the day was long.

I texted Sean during a bathroom break and asked him if we could have something special tonight, like milkshakes. He said definitely! When I got outta work, I called him - he got the milk, I got the ice cream (yay for being in 2 stores at once and comparing prices:P).

We got home within 5 minutes of each other. Since we have to clean out the fridge a bit, we had delicious leftovers of stew and stir-fry :) We decided to watch "Up" while eating it. I'm pretty sure we were done with our food before the intro finished and were just staring at the TV the rest of the time. I remember at one point just pausing it to get orange creamsicle milkshakes, but otherwise the story drew us in fantastically!

After watching it, Sean commented that this was the best Disney Date Night movie ever. I agree. It was very emotional, especially for Disney! When the credits finally finished, we sat there, completely embraced, pouring out ILYs left and right ;) We decided to go out and catch fireflies at that point. I caught one and one caught Sean :) We then walked and talked all the way to CVS and back for a soda.

The rest of the night was devoted to Fallout 3 watching/playing. I love video games, but I'm definitely more of a watcher than a player on gaming systems. On the computer, I'll take over in a heartbeat;) I love showing Sean support as well - we both get very into the game and sometimes I'll check to make sure he's not missing any prize items before he leaves a location ;)

It was definitely an awesome night for both of us - even though we didn't stop the game until 1am, and after that we just talked for a while. I love being married, especially to someone who's willing to be spontaneous and shows love for me when I've had a rotten day :)
