I really need to find a better blogging time system:) It's been a hectic few weeks for me, so bear with me as I post about random nothingness:)
I went home for a few days (Sun-Wed) to babysit and earn a bit of money for gas as I prep for Student Teaching come this Monday!!! Phillip was allowed to come home with me on Wednesday, so instead of prepping and finishing up my DLP work, we've been to a few places:
- Wed we drove down to Lynchburg, played most of a game of Monopoly, ate at Subway, went to Game Stop, picked up some candy at the Dollar Store, and saw Iron Man. After this we went to Sean's and played TopSpin2 (tennis game) on XBox 360 and had some dinner.
- Thurs was a bit more relaxed. Went to the store for sugar...er, cereal:D, milk, and food for later. We played some air hockey that we found in one of the rooms as well as snakes and ladders. Later, after Sean said he couldn't play with us:-P, we went to the Putt-Putt place nearby. We tried to play a round of putt-putt, but it started raining, so to wait it out, we bought a ton of tokens and played all the games inside. (I REALLY need to start taking pictures again!) Later we went outside and played all 18 holes of the first course - Phil 43, Becca 42 = both under amateur par!!
- Yesterday I was trying to find a pool that we could go swim in. See, Liberty would allow Lil Brother to come, BUT it means I'd have to 1) find my 1-piece suit and 2-see summer school people and millions of RAs returning to campus. (Sadly, it was only until this morning that I realized that some of my really cool friends - Andrew, Corey, Danny Latin - were possibly there yesterday celebrating a birthday.) And apparently YMCA costs $100 to join and $40 a month....but Phil would get in for free! Sheesh!:( So we went a few places, got McDonalds (and Wendy's) and went over to Sean's to play on his XBox while he mowed the lawn:-P After that he changed and we went to Putt Putt again. Played 2 different courses this time, plus a ton of games:) Mom called as we were putting the first course and let me know her computer had a virus, so after the Putt Putt and (grr) dropping Sean (the computer guru) off, we headed back to Northen VA.
Last night and this morning I have been trying to fix this silly computer. What's left for me to do today is put some Linux on the sucker, get all the files off into a contained hard drive, and reformat....twice:-P This might take a while sadly...so I hope I can get some hw done in the meantime!
Monday I start school!! Actually, I just meet the teacher, we discuss what's going on, and see from there how I'll be working with her. The 18th is when the KIDS will be there, minus the parent/teacher night this upcoming week:) I'm excited but nervous!!
